Tributes pour in for Brittany Murphy

Celebrities continue to pay tribute to actress Brittany Murphy, who died yesterday aged 32.

Ex Ashton Kutcher was one of the first to send condolences to her family. The two famously dated back in 2002 after shooting rom-com Just Married.

Her Co-star in Clueless Alicia Silverstone said:  ‘I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together.

‘I feel love in my heart for her – and hope she is at peace. This is truly sad. I loved working with Brittany. She was so talented, so warm, and so sweet.’

Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan also paid tributes to the star on Twitter. Simpson said: Brittany Murphy was an incredible ray of Light to so many people. Her smile was contagious. My prayers are with her family and loved ones.’ Lohan tweeted: ‘My deepest condolences go out to all of Brittany Murphy’s loved ones & may she rest in peace.”
Screenwriter Kevin Smith’s comment was particularly touching: “G’night, Ms. Murphy; hope you’re rollin’ with the homies someplace nice.”
Less than 24 hours after her untimely death, rumours have been flying around about what was the cause of her cardiac arrest. Blogger Perez Hilton said “Absolutely devastating. Especially because this comes as no surprise!”
Maybe Patsy is getting soft in her old age, but Jesus maybe wait a few more hours Perez until you fire up the aul rumour mill. You know, out of respect and that.
